About Yma

Yma A. Campozano, MSW (she/her/ella) is an autism and trauma specialist providing EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapy and trauma-informed care. As a Latin American therapist born with Spina Bifida, she understands firsthand what it means to navigate visible and invisible challenges. This lived experience informs her commitment to creating a space where disabled, neurodivergent, and marginalized clients feel deeply seen, understood, and safe.

Yma's approach is gentle, relational, and collaborative. She honors your pace and autonomy while supporting you in processing trauma, building resilience, and developing greater self-trust. Her work is queer-affirming, disability-affirming, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through authentic, supportive relationships.

She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Florida and remains deeply committed to disability rights, social justice, and helping clients move toward greater self-acceptance and authentic living.
