Dominique Ryan

Dominique Ryan is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over five years of experience in healthcare, working across a variety of settings. She has experience working with individuals of all ages and has been passionate about serving veterans by working as a nurse at the VA. Dominique is an advocate for mental health awareness and reducing stigma; before pursuing nursing she studied behavioral health at USF.

Dominique obtained her associate's degree from Hillsborough Community College, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from South University, and a Master's degree in nursing from Walden University. She has experience treating a variety of mental health conditions including major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and substance abuse. She is experienced in conducting psychiatric evaluations, providing medication management, and offering care coordination.

Dominique is passionate about evidence-based practice and utilizing the latest guidelines and recommendations in her work. She offers person-centered care and often uses evidence-based holistic treatment modalities as complementary therapy. She is experienced in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy, and advocates for mind-body practices such as yoga and meditation as part of a whole-person approach to wellness.
